Abstract

For the patient undergoing sleeve gastrectomy, upper endoscopy serves as an important tool during each of the preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative settings. In addition to its applications for workup and operative planning, endoscopic modalities allow for the early recognition and treatment of common postoperative complications following this procedure. In this chapter, we explore the various diagnostic and therapeutic roles of endoscopy during sleeve gastrectomy.
