Abstract

Nutrigenomics and nutrigenetics are growing disciplines investigating the complex relationship between nutrition and genetics. Genetic variations affect individual reactions to nutrition and play a role in the development and progression of many neurological diseases. Moreover, dietary components interact with our genes, affecting metabolism and inflammation and influencing susceptibility to neurological diseases. Emerging research has linked various dietary habits to neuroprotective effects. As scientific understanding evolves, the relationships between genes and diet will be elucidated, facilitating nutritional strategies for enhancing neurological well-being. Integrating personalized nutrition and the progressive evolution of artificial intelligence can significantly improve our capacity to prevent and manage multiple neurological illnesses.
