Abstract

The field of neurodevelopmental disabilities (NDD) and its related disciplines has seen strides in medical knowledge, human rights, and education over the past century. At the present time, we are at an inflection point where scientific advances may bring about marked changes and potentially impact quality of life for individuals with NDD. This chapter addresses some of the trends that will shape the field.
