Abstract

With the advent of new technology, preexisting ones are being repurposed. Near-infrared fluoroscopy has undergone many iterations and is still evolving. The indications for its application in the operating room have expanded to most fields. This chapter will discuss the technology used in near-infrared fluoroscopy, its advantages and limitations, and its general applications in multiple surgical specialties.
