Abstract

UWF has revolutionized the evaluation and the management of uveitis, providing a broad and detailed perspective of the posterior pole and peripheral retina that traditional imaging modalities cannot achieve. This chapter explores the clinical applications of UWF imaging in uveitis. The utility of UWF imaging lies in its ability to capture central and peripheral inflammatory lesions located in the vitreous, retina, and choroid, in a single shot. Furthermore, UWF imaging aids in assessing treatment response and disease progression, thereby enhancing clinical decision-making. This chapter also addresses the integration of UWF imaging into routine practice, highlighting its role in improving patient outcomes through early and accurate diagnosis. The synthesis of current evidence underscores the significance of UWF imaging as an indispensable “weapon” in managing uveitis.
