Abstract
In the original article, the caption for Figure 5 on page 253 was written as: Figure 5. (A) Mean (±SEM) levels of biochemical indicators associated with AC adverse effects; creatinine kinase-MB (left) and serum creatinine (right) in the different treatment groups. (B) Histomicrographs of liver tissue homogenates of the different treatment groups. The thinner arrows represent cytoplasmic vacuolization with fatty changes, and the thicker arrows represent inflammatory cells. The correct figure caption is as follows: Figure 5. (A) Mean (±SEM) levels of biochemical indicators associated with AC adverse effects; creatinine kinase-MB (left) and serum creatinine (right) in the different treatment groups. (B) Histomicrographs of liver tissue sections of the different treatment groups. The thinner arrows represent cytoplasmic vacuolization with fatty changes, and the thicker arrows represent inflammatory cells. In the original article, on page 253 a sentence was written as: "In support, histological examination of liver tissue homogenates of HFD group revealed intracytoplasmic vacuolization of fat in most of the hepatocytes as well as inflammatory cell infiltration surrounding the central vein." The correct sentence is as follows: "In support, histological examination of liver tissue sections of HFD group revealed intracytoplasmic vacuolization of fat in most of the hepatocytes as well as inflammatory cell infiltration surrounding the central vein." The reason for this correction is because we came to find an error regarding the description of the histological examination studies reported in this article. We mistakenly used the term "homogenates" instead of "sections" to describe the histological results. Both tissue homogenates and tissue sections were prepared as described in the methodology under Section 2.7.5, but only results from the tissue sections were reported in this article. Results obtained from tissue homogenates will be reported in a different publication. None of the discussion nor conclusion in the original article is affected.
