Yousef Nazzal

Yousef Nazzal completed his Ph.D. in Environmental Sciences at the M.S.University of Baroda /India. Presently Chair to Dept. of Life & Environmental Sciences/Zayed University, UAE.He went on to establish and lead the efforts of Environmental sciences associations and academic programs in Public Sectors and Academic Institutions in the Middle East and North America. For the past 30 years, he served in different academic and administrative positions in Yarmouk University/ Jordan, King Saud University/SA, Salalah Education College/ Oman, Abu Dhabi University/ UAE, Zayed University/ UAE and University of Ontario Institute of Technology/ Canada and presently Chair, and Professor, Dept. of Life & Environmental Sciences, College of Natural & Health Sciences, Zayed University, UAE. He is the author or inventor on more than 120 papers, published in well reputed International Journals. Completed research projects funded nationally and internationally related to consulting, public health, fate and transport of contaminates, pollution to water and soils (heavy metals, hydro geochemistry), risk assessment and environmental pathways, site assessment and remediation, environmental and hydrology (especially landfills), waste water treatment and geochemistry. Taught many courses in environmental sciences for both undergraduate and graduate students. Provided academic leadership developing an effective learning environment for students through designing, revising, delivering curricula and defining/evaluating learning outcomes. Experienced in project management, prepared status reports, presentation, and evaluation reports for funding agencies, government authorities and management. Formulated environmental plans, coordinated project activities and established reporting procedures. During Prof Nazzal academic carriers, served as a chairs, and vice chairs to many committees of learning resources and research & higher education, and academic accreditation…..etc.
