Prof. Jayadevan Sreedharan has completed his Ph.D. in Biostatistics from University of Kerala, India (2000); Diploma in Cancer Prevention from National Cancer Institute, USA (2002); Diploma in Health Professions Education from Gulf Medical University, Ajman, UAE (2011) and Ph.D. in Epidemiology from Tampere University, Finland (2014).

He has worked as a Research fellow at Government Medical College, Trivandrum, Kerala from 1991-1993, as a Senior research fellow in the Natural Background Radiation Cancer Registry (A unit of Regional Cancer Centre, Trivandrum Kerala, India) from 1993-1999, as Lecturer to Associate Professor in Biostatistics at Academy of Medical Sciences, Kannur, Kerala, India from 1999 to 2009, and as Assistant Director of Research Division and Professor of Biostatistics at Gulf Medical University, Ajman, UAE from 2009-2014.  Currently, he is working as Professor of Epidemiology and Biostatistics at Gulf Medical University, Ajman, United Arab Emirates, Program Director -Master of Public Health and Adjunct Professor at the University of Arizona, United States of America. He is also the Board of Studies member for the Master of Public Health program at American Texila University.

He has received the UICC fellowship to attend the Radiation Epidemiology training program at Kagoshima University, Japan (1998). He has received the prestigious Sri. Kallu Ram Memorial Young Male Scientist Award for the best paper presented in the National Conference of Indian Association of Preventive and Social Medicine in the year 2005 and more than 10 International scholarships to participate and present papers in various International conferences. So far he has received 10 awards for best paper presentations. He has more than 150 publications to his credit which include educational research also. Also, reviewer for many national and international scientific journals. He is also a member of many national and international bodies including the Association of UICC fellow.
